Accommodation

All rooms are sea facing. Some right on the beach and others set further back in the shady grounds. Interior décor is tasteful with light wood paneling and natural shades blending with the surroundings of the hotel.  Standard and standard beachfront rooms share the same layout and décor, only their positioning on the property differs. Standard rooms are set back in the gardens under the shady palms while standard beachfront rooms enjoy close proximity to the beach with sea views.  Superior and superior beachfront rooms share the same layout with the only differential being the proximity to the beach. Superior rooms are spacious and furnishings are elegant in keeping with the style of the hotel. Superior rooms are found on both the ground and first floor whereas superior beachfront rooms are only found on the first floor of the chalets and are centrally located. The suites resemble double-storey apartments, the downstairs area comprising a lounge and dining room with kitchenette adjacent and guest toilet. Upstairs, a large room leads onto a wide balcony and the bathroom is spacious and well-appointed.

Restaurants and Bars

Trou aux Biches has three restaurants. La Caravelle is a lively restaurant serving buffet dinners while L'Oasis is in a quiet setting for a la carte dining. But the final word in Mauritian lifestyle is L'Espadon, a restaurant right on the beach. LA CARAVELLE - Typically Mauritian colonial in style, La Caravelle is a large and well appointed restaurant. Buffet breakfast and dinner menus are a big attraction with the evening meal featuring food from around the world and “live cooking” demonstrations to delight the guests. A special area is reserved for children where furniture is custom made to the right size and the buffet menus serve dishes which appeal to the little ones.  L'OASIS - Shaded by a canopy of palm trees this romantic restaurant serves delicious a la carte menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The setting is close to the pool and the beach. L'ESPADON - Enjoy a romantic meal with your feet in the sand and stars twinkling above you – a firm favourite with  guests. L'OASIS BAR - Each afternoon tea and pancakes are served. LA CARAVELLE BAR - is where everyone gathers for cabaret shows or live music and dancing each evening after dinner.
