Activities

On safari at Damaraland Camp desert and game lodge in Damaraland in Namibia, you will enjoy game drives in 4x 7-seater open land rovers, sundowner drives, guided walking safaris, and/or mountain biking.  Early morning mists generated by the clash between the icy Atlantic Ocean and the warm desert air of the Skeleton Coast, drift inland along the river sand canyon, providing sustenance to the flora and fauna of the region. Although wildlife is not concentrated, Damaraland Camp is situated where the rare Desert Elephant roams, alongside Gemsbok (Oryx), Springbok, Ostrich and other hardy desert animals.  Rare succulent plants somehow manage to eke out an existence in this harsh countryside.

Lodge

The camp is on the north face of the Huab River valley, in central Damaraland.  This is midway between Khorixas and Torra Bay within the Torra Wildlife Conservancy.  The stone living area combines the dining room and pub and an open fire is enjoyed on calm evenings. There is a swimming pool next to the bar.  The lodge also offers a small curio shop.

Accommodation

Damaraland Camp has 10 tented rooms each with an en-suite bathroom including flush toilet and shower with hot and cold running water.   The tents are comfortable, large walk-in safari tents with doors not zips.  The tents offer wonderful views of the mountain. Your safari and desert experience at Damaraland Camp game and dessert lodge will be an unforgettable experience.
