Activities

On safari at Ongava Game Lodge in the Etosha area of Namibia, you will enjoy game drives on Ongava’s Reserve and the Etosha National Park, walks with armed guides, and rhino-tracking on foot.  Ongava has resident White and Black Rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the unique opportunity to see both of these charismatic species. The reserve has a healthy population of Lion as well as a large variety of plains game. The birding is superb with a number of Namibia's specials including Short-Toed Rock Thrush, Hautlaubs Francolin, White-tailed Shrikes and Ruppels Parrots. Etosha offers spectacular game viewing in the dry months, with large concentrations of Elephant, Zebra, Wildebeest, Oryx and Springbok.

Lodge

The lodge is situated close to the top of a hill with wonderful views across the plains.  Meals are either served in the main dining area under thatch with a view over the camp's water hole, or on the dining deck under the stars.  The lodge also offers a bar, swimming pool, large curio shop, library and a spotting scope for viewing game.

Accommodation

Accommodation comprises twelve air-conditioned brick, rock and thatch chalets, each with en-suite facilities.  The rooms have air-conditioning, overhead fan, tea/coffee making facilities, private wooden viewing deck overlooking the reserve, mosquito nets and a hairdryer.  Your safari at Ongava Game Lodge will be an unforgettable experience!
