02 Apr 09: Heysbrook Country Lodge – Mpumalanga – Closed from 01 May 2009 Please be advised that Heysbrook Country Lodge is closing to commercial business for a period from 01 May 2009. Heysbrook experienced two significant floods in recent months, both of which caused damage to weirs, bridges, the swimming pool and some other structures on the property. Based on the reduction in bookings Heysbrook is experiencing during the prevailing economic slowdown, the owners have taken this opportunity to repair and refurbish the lodge at this time.
19 Feb 09: Breezes Beach Club and Spa in Zanzibar is renovating…
We are pleased to inform you that we have decided to upgrade and renovate some of the facilities at Breezes Beach Club, Zanzibar. As a result, we will have to close for approximately two weeks from May 3 to May 22 2009 inclusive. We will be undertaking some renovation works so as to enhance the service and product that we are offering the clients. We have not had the opportunity to close the hotel since 2003 as the hotel has been very busy over the years. Therefore, this will be good opportunity to finish the works without any interruptions to the guests. If you had bookings at Breezes from 3-22 May 2009 inclusive, these clients will be upgraded to Baraza Zanzibar at the Breezes rates on half board basis for this period. Also, if you have any new bookings for Breezes from 3-22 May 2009 inclusive these bookings will be upgraded to Baraza Zanzibar at the Breezes rates on half board basis.

Sun City - Valley of Waves Annual Maintenance
Please note that the annual closure dates for maintenance of the Valley of Waves, Dungeon, Amphitheatre and Royal Observatory pool at Sun City are from 1 May - 26 June 2009 both dates inclusive. During this period no function bookings will be accepted. Residents at The Palace will be asked to use the shuttle to gain access into the Entertainment Centre.

The "Let There Be Rock" show in the Sun City Theatre closed on 31 January 2009. While the Theatre is closed, we will have a show taking place in Traders in the Entertainment Centre.

Thanda is also proud to announce that their tented camp will be undergoing extensive renovations and upgrades. The camp is expanding to eight tents, each accommodating two people. 19 November 2008: Visa fees to Zambia Reduced Sun International Zambia is delighted to share some great news with you! The government of the Republic of Zambia has reduced visa fees payable by foreign nationals visiting the country with the aim of attracting even more tourists to visit the Livingstone, Zambia, home of the mighty Victoria Falls. According to the newly revised fees, a single entry visa will now be US$50.00 and a double entry visa will cost US$80.00 for all nationalities requiring a visa to visit Zambia. This is a substantial reduction for countries such as Britain and the United States of America (USA).
