This exclusive hotel offers remarkable levels of luxury and privacy, with 78 beautifully appointed suites including two presidential suites, all of which have been designed to maximise the spectacular views from the estate.  Each suite exudes the warmth of stone and wooded textures, while welcoming earth tones create an unexpected contrast to the blues and greens of the landscape and ocean.  The rooms are decorated in a contemporary African style.  Various elements of African art including pottery, woodwork and beadwork have been incorporated into different aspects of the suites and the main building.  Warm African colours of red and gold and earth tones predominate, contrasting strongly with the softer shades of the surrounding indigenous vegetation known as fynbos and the sea environment in which the hotel is built.  The sumptuous suites are designed to be utterly indulgent and completely private and exude a sense of luxury and comfort from the real log fireplaces, which are lit on request, to the underfloor heating in the bathrooms.  The suites have private balconies or patios with sweeping views of the Knysna Lagoon or the Indian Ocean and the golf course, and are complete with individual climate control, satellite television, a DVD player, electronic safe and direct telephone.  Each has a pantry kitchen with delicious deli snacks from the hotel’s kitchen and a well stocked drinks cabinet.  The bathrooms are huge with oval-shaped calabash baths and wet rooms big enough for two.  Beds are beautifully dressed with Egyptian cotton linen and guests are supplied with luxurious towelling gowns and slippers.
