On safari at Rhino Post Safari Lodge game lodge in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, you will enjoy game drives and walking safaris.  In addition to their wilderness concession, they have exclusive use of some of the Kruger Park public roads at night. The Kruger Park has strict gate closing times (before sunset) for their rest camps & access gates. Rhino Post Camp is allowed to utilise certain public roads for night/evening drives well after gate closing times.  In terms of their ‘tread gently’ policy, they do not allow any off road driving, preferring to explore the wilderness on foot.

Lodge

Rhino Post Camp is a 16-bed lodge, set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed, in a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. The nature of a wilderness area is that there are no permanent structures, so Rhino Post Camp was built using natural materials of stone, wood, thatch and canvas to create an authentic bush ambience. Following a walking safari or game drive, guests can relax in the revitalising swimming pool; take in the views from the shaded patio and watch the abundant wildlife amble down to the waterhole. Sumptuous meals are served in the camp’s dining area, which is set under magnificent Tamboti trees. The lounge, with its extensive wine cellar, cosy fireplace and bar, is the perfect spot for a sundowner.

Accommodation

Stilts raise the 8 spaciously appointed suites from the riverbank allowing guests to view the Mutlumuvi riverbed with ease from the bedroom, bathroom and private wooden deck. The suites are set out in an open plan style with wooden floors, thatched roofs, canvas walls and an overhead fan. Each en-suite bathroom includes a deep, freestanding bath, ‘his and hers’ basins, a separate toilet and an outdoor shower protected by thick reed poles. The bathroom floor is attractively decorated with delicate mosaic designs complimenting the contemporary floor. All the suites have mini-bars and telephones linked to all areas.
