Kafue National Park is one of the largest parks in Africa and 22 500 sq km. In summer there is a large floodplain delta due to floods of the Lufupa River. There are two other rivers: The Lunga and the Kafue rivers. Habitats are miombo woodland, open grassy dambos and floodplains. The park has 55 large mammal species and 491 bird species. The game viewing is very good as big cats are often seen in this park.
