After Juan's birth in 2006 we decided to start our own exciting Internet tourism business – doing what we love most. Our son was the inspiration and motivation for our home-based tourism business. Lodges in Africa has grown and two years later we have moved into our own office in the centre of Durbanville (northern suburbs of Cape Town). Juan is very happy at his nearby play school and we're fortunate to have more time to work and grow Lodges in Africa. Lodges – the perfect way to luxuriously unite man with nature and where better to experience this meeting between creation and its keeper than Africa, the birthplace of Mother Nature. We at LODGES IN AFRICA have a passion for sharing nature, wildlife and African sunsets so that we may experience what is dearest to us through our valued clients. We represent a variety of game lodges, desert lodge, and beach resorts in Southern and Eastern Africa that has been carefully selected. Our niche market is honeymoon destinations.

Dawie - IT & Internet Specialist

“I grew up in the Kalahari and my passion for nature started as a little boy. I assist my wife with the IT side of things and market research for Internet Marketing for Lodges in Africa. I also import and sell bamboo flooring. I have a team of installers so we install hardwood and bamboo flooring. I love wood so selling and installing wooden floors is really another passion. We are in the process of purchasing a piece of land in Kalbaskraal (close to Malmesbury) and will build our own timber-frame house. It is quite an exciting project we are looking forward to.”
