Damaraland

Damaraland now forms part of the Erongo region in the south and the Kunene region in the north. It is one of the most scenic areas in Namibia and offers mountains, open plains, grassland, watercourses, and granite koppies.  Brandberg is Namibia’s highest mountain and also home to the famous ‘White Lady’ Bushmen painting in this area.  In this area you will also find Twyfelfontein with thousands of Bushman engravings, Spitzkoppe, the Petrified Forest that is millions of years old and the towering Vingerklip. You will find game species such as desert elephant, black rhino, ostrich and springbok in this area of Damaraland in Namibia.
