Etosha

Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa's most important and largest Game Reserves and was declared a National Park in 1907.  It is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and one species of fish. Game viewing in Etosha is excellent (buck species, elephant, giraffe, rhino and lions).  There are three rest camps (Namutoni, Halali and Okaukuejo) in the Park.  Visitors from private game lodges can stop at these camps.  Most people prefer to stay at the private game lodges and then visit the park during the day.  The park is only open from sunrise to sunset.  Ongava Private Game Reserve shares a common boundary with Etosha National Park.
