TERMS & CONDITIONS – Southern Africa Lodges CC
When using our website and services, you are subject to the following terms and conditions:
“Lodges in Africa” means Southern Africa Lodges CC, registered in South Africa under registration number 2006 / 136409 / 23. “The client” means the person/s making a provisional or confirmed reservation and who contracts with Lodges in Africa on the terms and conditions hereunder.
“Services” means the provision of accommodation, flights, car hire, transfers, travel insurance and day tours for the client in Africa. Lodges in Africa shall procure the services for and behalf of the client as agent for it with relevant third party service providers. Lodges in Africa shall, under no circumstances, be liable for the acts and omissions of the relevant third party suppliers concerned. Quotations Quotations; as well as rates quoted on the website, will be subject to availability at time of booking. Lodges in Africa reserves the right to amend and increase any quotation, even after acceptance by the client, in the event of any adverse currency fluctuations, increases in Government or Statutory levies, increases levied by third party suppliers in respect of the services.
Bookings
Provisional bookings will stay provisional until payment has been received. Bookings made on a provisional basis can be held for 5 working days. In order to confirm the provisional booking, the client should make payment to Lodges in Africa (deposit or full payment) before or on the payment due date. Special requests The client shall advise Lodges in Africa in writing of any special requests and needs. The costs of complying with such special requests, needs or facilities shall be payable by the client.
Payments A deposit will be payable by the client to Lodges in Africa within 5 days of booking in order to confirm the booking (deposit amounts may vary from lodge to lodge). The balance payment will be payable by the client to Lodges in Africa 8 weeks prior to arrival. Full payment will be payable within 5 days for bookings made within 8 weeks prior to client’s arrival. Should payment not be received in time, Lodges in Africa reserve the right to automatically cancel the reserved accommodation and at the same time reserve the right to cancel or refuse to accept any further bookings.
Payments can be made by bank transfer (electronic or manually) into Lodges in Africa's bank account. International clients should allow a minimum of 3 working days for swift bank transfers to South Africa. South African clients should allow 1 working day for electronic payments from a Standard Bank account and 2 working days from any other Bank account.
Exchange Rates
This will apply to quotations/bookings made in US$. Exchange rates fluctuate on a daily basis and will be subject to the rate of exchange on date of payment. US$ payments will be converted into ZAR (South African Rand) at the applicable exchange rate at the time of payment.
Cancellations
All requests for cancellations shall be made by the client in writing to Lodges in Africa and shall only be effective on the date of actual receipt by Lodges in Africa.
· Cancellations received 6 weeks or more prior to client’s arrival date, deposit will be forfeited. · Cancellations received between 6 weeks and 1 month prior to client’s arrival date, 50% cancellation fee will apply · Cancellations received within 1 month of client’s arrival date, client will be liable for a 100% cancellation fee. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive Travel Insurance is strongly recommended. Please ask us for a quotation.
Malaria
It is important to take precaution against malaria when visiting malaria areas in Southern Africa. The client should consult their local doctor or pharmacist for advice in this regard.

Jurisdiction These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa without giving effect to any principles of conflict of law. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa in respect of any disputes arising in connection with your use of this Website, or these terms and conditions or any matter related to or in connection therewith.
